Early on The Voice discussion forum was very popular on Main Street Monroe. Many people met on this site, some even got married and some divorced. But all in all two decades ago, people of Monroe enjoyed 'The Voice'. Today, 'The Voice' has been silenced by the numerous other options there are out there to socialize online. "The Voice" with thousands of visits per month is under fire by some in Monroe.

It is the intention of MainStreetMonroe.com (MSM) to serve the community by providing a place for any over the age of 13 to post information about Monroe. From the Front Page of MSM "We invite anyone who has any newsworthy story about Monroe to send an e-mail to one of our Staff."

Since adding "The Voice" to MSM, we have had a few angry phone calls from various persons in the community. People say bad, hateful and inaccurate things about each other. People hurt others feelings, or the feelings of their children. Someone once said to me, ‘how would you like if if they were talking about your child‘. GOOD POINT!

The rules of the voice are simple*. Everyone posting on the voice has to agree to them and provide a valid e-mail address in order to activate their account.

Please help keep "The Voice" a service to the community. In the future, we will remove accounts from those who don‘t play nicely. And if your post is noteworthy, we may also publish it on the front page.
