The Monroe Athletic Booster Club sponsored the 1st Annual Hornet Day on Sunday, August 19. The event took place at the Monroe High School Sports Complex. At the start, student-athletes and coaches were introduced to Hornet Fans and community members. Fans had an opportunity to take pictures with their favorite athletes; decorate their lockers; and tour the film room, trainer room and weight room. Coaches and players conducted minicamps for the young athletes. The Spirit Shop was opened to purchase Hornet merchandise. Folks brought cameras, autograph pens, and locker decorations; and enjoyed the evening. In case of rain, the event would have moved indoors.

The club sponsors tailgating before home football games.
